
I realize that flavor has a lot to do with whether or not a food is desirable, but I am a real big texture fan. Not just a texture fan, a crunchy texture fan. I prefer pretty much anything crunchy over smooth. Sure, ice cream is smooth, but who doesn't prefer it with nuts in it? I buy the extra crunchy peanut butter every time. Raw veggies over cooked. I can't stand cooked fruit. It needs to be crisp and cold. Bananas - when they're yellow there delicious - green's too hard and brown's too squishious? I don't think so. Green all the way. One brown dot on that sucker and it goes into banana bread. If the food won't taste good crunchy - then it probably isn't that yummy in the first place. I can only think of one exception to the rule and that is cheesecake. There's nothing better than a creamy cheesecake - of course maybe a creamy cheesecake with a crunchy oreo crust.
