Well, today is Mardi Gras, which means it's the day to pig out. Yay! It also means that tomorrow is Lent. Lent, as I understand it, is a 40 day preparation for Easter (or the resurrection of Christ). The 40 days represent the time that Christ spent fasting in the wilderness. Therefore, some people now give up a vice, or in otherwords, they fast from this vice, for 40 days. I think it's an interesting custom and have decided to give up something for 40 days.
I've heard of people giving up chocolate for Lent. Who would do something crazy like that? Chocolate isn't a vice, it's medicine. I think I am going to give up something like....kissing. Yeah, that's a good one. Or maybe broccoli. Facebook? I know it would be good for me, but 40 days? How about Spanish TV? The internet? Ha hahahaha! Let's not go crazy. That would be like giving up my best friend. Speaking of best friends, I know what my dad should give up - letting the dog in the house. Now that is a vice. A really stink one at that.
Ok, my real decision is to give up my laziness. Everyday I am going to work out.
