Bucket Seats and Safety Belts

Last night, I did this to my car. Luckily it happened about 10 feet away from my parking spot so I steered it in, parked it, and went straight inside. I was too annoyed with myself to look at the damage. I figured by morning I'd be in a more laughy mood. I was, but boy was I grateful that whatever I hit only got the tire.
After 5 minutes of trying to figure out how to open the compartment where the jack was, I had all my tools ready to change the tire. With the owner's manual in one hand and the metal handle of the jack in the other trying to shove it in some hole to lower the spare tire, the AC man came over to help. Apparently I didn't look like I knew what I was doing. He ended up doing it all while I watched. At least he enjoyed himself by playing with my gullible-ness.
"Oh, they can easily patch that one up." "Really?" "No."
"You don't have to take all the lugnuts off to take the tire off." "Really?" "No."
"Oh no, you bent the rim!" "Really?" "No."
"Well this is going to cost you a couple hundred dollars." "Ha!...oh you're serious about that one."
On departure, I thanked him and shook his hand to which he replied, "Woah, you got a firm handshake. Maybe you could have changed that tire all by yourself."

So sad. And I'm sure you could've changed the tire! Glad whatever you hit didn't get you!

I concur - you have mad skills, but still nice when someone does it for you! Glad you're okay!
