Saturday I found out that my roommate was at Ed McCaffrey camp. Somehow, it was never communicated to her that while every other girl was crushing on Freddie Prinze Jr. in high school, I was ogling Eddie. This lack of information caused me to miss out on what may have been my once in a lifetime opportunity to meet him. Sad day right?
Well my roommate told me she was able to talk to him a couple times and asked him if he really did just wear QB pads like the announcers had said. He didn't. He just wore old Stanford kicker shoulder pads. That's it! No legs pads. No chest pads. Just kicker shoulder pads. He said it was so he could run faster (keep up with the black guys I'm assuming). Makes me like him even more.
Anyway... the fact that she asked that question impressed me. I don't think I'd be able to form a complete sentence if I were to meet him. We all know how I messed up my opportunity with LaVell Edwards. So now I have to think of an amazing question to ask him if, by chance, I ever do meet him. I have to be prepared! Any ideas?
There is also a minuscule possibility of meeting other Bronco greats such as Al Wilson or John Lynch, so I need to think of questions to ask them too. Apparently my roommate has the coolest job ever!

Wow!!! Only kicker pads?? As if I didn't like him enough already.
Remember when we saw him at the Broncos/Titans game we were at on the field?
Okay. Questions to ask Easy Eddie:
1. Let's talk about the neck thing. You know, after you get up from an excruciating hit, you'd always move your head back and forth, as if you were cracking his neck or something like that. Did that hurt? Did it make a sound?
2. I cried on the catch in 2001 (right before 9/11, actually) when you got hit, broke your leg in multiple places, ended up being out for a year....and still made the catch. I just thought you should know that.
3. When I type "Ed" on Google, his name comes up second, behind Ed McMahon. How does it feel to be the second most popular Ed according to Google? Don't you think you should be first?
4. I'm curious to know which one of your 3 Super Bowl wins you like the most. Is it like your children and you can't pick a favorite? Or do you actually have a favorite and why?
And then I'd ask for a picture.
These questions are just off the top of my head! I think I'd be good at meeting famous people now. A lot better than when I met Michael Strahan when I was 16 and was really really afraid of him.
Oooo! What is your roommates job?!! And when can I come too? Jason thinks you should ask if he has any single brothers.
