Nursing? Dangerous?

Sometimes. Last week I was distracting an elderly old woman while another nurse was putting in an IV. The lady dug her nails into my wrist. She then yelled "I'm going to bite you!" and lunged at my arm with her face. I stopped her before she got to me and then pried her fingers off my wrist. Luckily I wasn't bleeding, but it sure hurt! This picture was taken 2 days after the incident. I definitely learned not to underestimate the strength of an 80 year-old woman.

There is also the possibility that she is a vampire and was hungry.

Workman's Comp?

My kids have kicked a nurse or two in their time.

At their last appointment the nurse yelled at me because I misjudged how tightly I had to hold Little E and he slipped his arm free to bat the needle away. Oops. She was fine, but Little E had a scrape on his hand from the needle.
