I've never been one to drink pop. The only time my mom bought it was to mix it with sorbet for dinner club. It was forbidden during track and cross country season, which was fine by me. I never really craved it.
In Chile I drank it a little more, mainly because it tasted better than the water, and when asking for "a drink", 90% of the time they gave you pop.
I am now afraid to admit that I have probably drank more pop in the last 2 months than I have in my whole life. Dr Pepper that is. It comes in handy at 3am during a night shift. Is this an addiction? I didn't think so until tonight when the cool, sweet, tingly liquid filled my mouth and an intense satisfaction rolled over me. I had felt this before. It was the same sensation I would get after a long, excruciatingly hot cross country run as ice cold water trickled into my sticky, dry mouth. Not a good sign.
So, I have taken the first step to recovery: recognizing the problem. Now on to step 2. Which would be...denial and drink it anyway?

You can keep drinking Dr. Pepper if I can keep drinking Diet Coke. :) After all, we're both in the "most caffeinated" professions:

if your going to have a vice, at least you picked a good one. mmmmm Dr. Pepper
I love DP. It kept me from killing my children during 4 years of sleep deprivation. :) Maybe try scaling back to a half can....
can? I drink a 24 oz.
Love me, but don't burn me. I think it is funny that we all have chosen Dr Pepper. Must be in our genetic make up. Hey there is a master's thesis for you!
drink the decaf
DP is the carbonated beverage of choice here too... Scott gets free sodas from Panera whenever he wants, so sometimes I have him bring me home one. One very large Dr.Pepper just for me. *salivating and calling Scott on his way home from work*
