I am happy to say that BYU won their football game today. I am just not as thrilled on how they won. Washington scored a touchdown leaving just 2 seconds left on the clock. They would only need to make their PAT to tie BYU at 28. BUT...because the quarterback, Locker, celebrated too much after his touchdown, they were penalized, backing up their PAT, which then lead to our blocking the PAT and BYU winning by one point.
Now to me, the "too much celebration" rule is ridiculous. Sure the players probably shouldn't run to the opponent's bench and mock them or tear down the goal post, but tossing the football behind you and jumping on/hugging your teammates? Come on. What are you supposed to do? Walk solemnly off the field with your head bowed? I'm not saying that the Huskies should have won, because I think that BYU played a better game overall, the calling just seems a little too picky for me is all.
