This is the EXACT conversation I had with a person....twice. It was if I had taped the first one and replayed it again 1 week later. I kid you not - the exact conversation twice.
"Oh, so where are you from?"
"Colorado."
"Pueblo?"
"No, Loveland."
"Where's that?"
"An hour north of Denver."
"Well, welcome to the north!"
"Um, we're pretty much at the exact same latitude."
"Oh ok, well welcome to the west!"
"I guess it is west-er, but yeah, Colorado is considered the west."
"Well in that case, welcome to happy valley!"
"I'm a super senior and have probably been here longer than you."
So he was just probably trying to be nice, but the second time he did it really annoyed me. AND I purposely gave the same responses the second time so see if he'd catch on. He didn't.
